Being a newbie to faith it amazes me that people can have totally different opinions of the Bible and prove their opinions through scripture in some way. I can see points from all sides.

I spoke with a friend this morning who was all distraught over the end of days. She and her friends have concluded that situations are lining up to begin the end of days.

I was left feeling glum afer our conversation and then I wake from my nap to hubby watching Joel Osteen. I listen to the last 15 minutes and I am empowered and know exactly what I am going to blog about today.

We mute the TV and get into a discussion about the program. When finished I unmute the TV and listen to the tail end of Eddie Long. He is talking about the end of days in a different way than my friend and now Im stumped.

After an hour of trying to process this day I have no idea how to blog about all that I am thinking so I just decided to write about my confusion. Interestingly I had a very powerful dream last night that deals with God that I have been mulling over all day too.

Sometimes with the Bible I dont know if I am coming or going. I feel like I start to understand something only to be tossed a new idea that messes up my head.

After watching the last 10 minutes of Bishop Eddie Long's All Dressed Up and Nothing to Wear, I am left thinking hard. I have to purchase this service so I can hear it all the way through because the last part was so deep.

Has anyone ever felt this way about the Bible and what to do or believe? Does anyone have any opinion on the end of days and the rapture?

All I can think right now is that I do believe in Him and can not even try to understand his plan. I just need to do what is right day to day until what ever is going to happen, happens.

The Joel Osteen sermon that I viewed this weekend was hands down the best service that I have ever viewed. This sermon will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. It will motivate you; it will give you the power to keep going and the strength to keep doing what is right when all seems to be going wrong around you.

The sermon is Being Faithful in Small Things #430. The basic meaning is about showing God that you can be faithful in the wilderness so he will promote you to the promise land. Joel talks about being happy and faithful where you are in life. When you are in hard times, make it a time to prove yourself to God.

I have been working really hard the last year to really change my attitude and not fight everything. This service is great for me because over the past few weeks I have been starting to break with everything that has gone on.

On the inside I want to flip the crazy person off honking in the car behind me. I don’t want to hold my tongue anymore to the rude people that I have been encountering lately. This sermon gave me new motivation to stay on track.

When I started going to church a few years ago my husband and I noticed that there were people who always had their hands in the air. During song or certain parts of the sermon people would just throw their hands up in the air. What is that about? We would always get a chuckle out of the hand raising but now I realize it’s because we just didn’t get it.

This sermon has good humor and gradually inclines to the crescendo and the end. I don’t care who you are, the last 3 minutes of this sermon will make you close your eyes and throw your hands in the air. The last 3 minutes of this sermon are so powerful that I became the person that I used to chuckle at. Watch it, feel it and get empowered again in your life.

Here are some great bullet points that I took from this service:

Joel Osteen’s dad preached for 13 years to a congregation of 90 people. He kept going and didn’t give up. Look at where his descendants are today.

Stop asking God why is it taking so long to heal my body and just be faithful when Im not getting my way.

Life is about growth and there are many steps to a planting season. A plant doesn’t just get planted and then sprout up the next day.

Stop wanting 5 year results for my ideas in just 1 year. Stay faithful and shoot into that fifth year.

The reason its taking so long is because my future is so big.

Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in little can be trusted with much

Be positive when no one says thank you for your service and hard work.

Job 8:7 Though your beginning was small your latter end will greatly increase.

Here is an email that I received this week that really got me thinking. I know that a lot of these email stories can be fake but not all.

If you choose not to believe in God that is your choice. On the other hand how can you be 100% sure of your decision? There is no proof that he does not exist.

If you choose not to believe why would you not take the safe route and keep your mouth shut. Your opinion is fine but why say rude things about God if you are not totally sure? It might save your butt in this life or the next.

Just my thoughts, the email is below and are the statements by these people really true? I would love if someone from the Lennon era could chime in and clarify.

John Lennon (Singer):

He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible
manner.

The man who built the Titanic
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him
how safe the Titanic would be.

With an ironic tone he said:'Not even God can sink it'
The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic

Marilyn Monroe (Actress)
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to
her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: 'I
don't need your Jesus'. A week later, she was found dead in her apartment

Bon Scott (Singer)
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:'Don't stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the
highway to hell'.

On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.

Campinas (IN 2005)
In Campinas, Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend. The mother accompanied her to the car and was so
worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car.

'My daughter, Go With God and may he protect you. She responded: 'Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk,
Cause Inside Here. It' is Already Full

Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in
a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact.

The police said there was no way the trunk could have
remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken.

Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer)
said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.
In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition
in her motor vehicle.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is
no other name that was given so much authority as
the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.
