Six years ago after having my first son my husband was traveling for business around 2 weeks a month. We had no family close by and my friends at the time were clueless as to what I was going through. I was the first of the group to give birth so the girls just didn’t understand. Plus I had strange control issues that made things worse.
About a month later my neighbor who just happened to be my BFF’s house keeper felt sorry for me and asked to come over and clean the house to help. I looked like a train wreck and wasn’t eating right but I still said no. I felt guilty having someone come to my house for free to clean. After a few weeks of pushing we agreed on a rate and she cleaned the house every two weeks for six months.
After a month she was the answer to my prayers. This was such an amazing experience. Now I am very private so I had set rooms that I didn’t want her to clean but still she dusted, cleaned the bathrooms top to bottom, scrubbed the kitchen, vacuumed and then to top it off I hired her daughter to babysit so I could get out.
Zip forward to today and I’m secretly wishing that I could have this opportunity again. I started school and the classes are kicking my butt. Plus, my health has kicked up again. As you moms know then there is the long list of things to do as a housewife and mother to make for an almost impossible to do list.
If I could be granted one wish this year it would be to have someone clean parts of my home again while I’m enrolled in school. This house is screaming for a housekeeper, maid, or even a commercial janitorial service from a school. At this point I wouldn’t care where the help came from as long as it arrived.
I remember when my mother in law heard that I was receiving this help before. She about fell off of her chair due to the fact that she raised four children and did everything no problem. I have always felt guilty about wanting to do this and that is why it has been my secret. I know what other generations endured but in my opinion its different today for women than what is was before so no more guilt. I’m sayin it out loud and pick on me if you want. If I could afford a maid I would get one in a heartbeat until I’m done with school.
What is your secret wish?

I know this has nothing to deal with my site but I thought this video was amazing. The stars were truly aligned for this pilot. I couldn't believe how quickly this jet was destroyed once it hit the ground.
